Mayo Clinic Health System will open an Express Care clinic inside the Hilltop Hy-Vee grocery store, located at 2010 Adams St. in Mankato. Construction of the clinic, which will be located adjacent to the pharmacy, is expected to begin in the next several weeks.
“Mayo Clinic has a long history of providing the Mankato community with the best care close to home,” says Greg Kutcher, M.D., vice president of Mayo Clinic Health System in the Southwest Minnesota region. “This new clinic will enhance access to our services, provide convenient care and help patients get the right care where it is most convenient for them.”
The Express Care Clinic will be staffed by nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses and will offer treatment for conditions like sore throats, sinus infections, minor cuts, colds and the flu.
“With today’s busy lifestyles, access to convenient and affordable health care services is more important now than it was ever before,” said Andy McCann, Hy-Vee’s executive vice president, chief administrative officer and vice chairman. “Hy-Vee is pleased to be working with Mayo Clinic Health System to offer an easy way for people to seek treatment or learn more about prevention so they can lead healthy lives.”
The Express Care Clinic will offer patients referrals to Mayo Clinic primary and specialty care providers. The clinic will also accept most insurance.
The clinic will be open extended hours on weekdays and weekends and offer the benefit of connectivity through the Mayo Clinic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
