River’s Edge Hospital & Clinic moves urgent care services to specialty clinic

ST. PETER— Urgent care services at River’s Edge Hospital & Clinic recently moved from the Emergency Department to the specialty clinic located on the River’s Edge campus.

Along with the move comes expanded hours for care – 3 p.m. -10 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays.  Urgent care services include, but are not limited to, sore throat, ear pain, eye infections, cough and other respiratory distress, rashes, minor cuts and bruises, bee stings and other insect bites, urinary tract infections and stomach pain.

“We are very excited to provide urgent care services in an area separate from the emergency department,” said George Rohrich, CEO of River’s Edge.  “Urgent care has always been offered at River’s Edge and now we can provide this service at a higher level.”

The change in location of urgent care also means a change in where to enter the building for that service.  People coming to River’s Edge for urgent care can enter the parking area either from Sunrise Drive or Klein Street.   Parking for urgent care is located near the clinic entrance.  Patients should enter through the clinic entrance during urgent care hours.
