Nominations Open
Ah, it’s that exciting season—again. In January 2011, John Roise of Lindsay Window & Door of North Mankato was chosen for our annual Business Person of the Year (BPOY) award. And this issue starts the process leading up to our BPOY 2012 unveiling.
Nominations will be accepted until October 1. You can nominate right now a friend or colleague as our BPOY. Go to connectbiz.com/bpoy to fill in our entry form. Our expert judges—non-partial Minnesota State University College of Business professors—consider each nominee’s character, leadership abilities, community involvement, and business results. Businesspersons from any type of business—large or small, profit or nonprofit, large city or not—have always been eligible.
Three basic rules: You can’t nominate yourself; your nominee must work and live inside our reading area, i.e., the counties of Nicollet, Sibley, Faribault, Waseca, Watonwan, Brown, Martin, Le Sueur or Blue Earth; and she/he must not have appeared in a Connect Business Magazine cover story or company profile from 2009-2011.
As for this September/October issue, we exude variety. Our cover story, Brad Radichel, and the couple leading Schell’s Brewing Company, Ted and Jodi Marti, are involved in long-time family ventures that have done business in three different centuries. Our last feature story on Express Diagnostics Int’l and co-owner Paul Johnson involves a red-hot Blue Earth company that began in 2004. So in this issue, we have high-tech galore and barrels of sudsy German beer.
Sursum ad summum,
