New Ulm to offer StartSmart New Business Seminars
NEW ULM, MINN. – The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the New Ulm Public Library, will be holding the StartSmart New Business Seminar Series on Thursday evenings from Jan. 28 through Feb. 18. These informational seminars are free and open to anyone interested in starting their own business. All four seminars will begin at 6:00 PM in the Meeting Room at the Library, 17 N Broadway St. The Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to supporting business in New Ulm, and hopes that these seminars will be helpful.
The first seminar, Available Resources, will be Jan. 28, featuring guest speaker Mike Nolan from the U of M/Mankato Small Business Development Center. On Feb. 4,Financing will be covered with guest speaker LuAnn Vanderwerf from the Region Nine Development Commission. Writing and Presenting a Business Plan instruction will be provided by Wendy Anderson from the Region Nine Development Commission on Feb. 11. On Feb. 18, the series will conclude with Social Media, Marketing and Advertising, presented by Ashley Aukes from the Region Nine Development Commission.
