MCHC Welcomes New Foundation Executive Director

Madelia, Minn. – The Madelia Community Hospital Foundation Board of Directors has named Bruce Taylor as the new Foundation Executive Director for the Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC).

Taylor brings with him over ten years of fundraising experience and a broad background in grant writing, team building, and communications. He has worked as a grant writer, music director, coach, training specialist and explosives foreman. He has also been a substitute teacher in many area schools including: Madelia, New Ulm, Nicollet, and Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s.

Taylor was raised in a defense department family and he graduated from high school in RAF Lakenheath, England. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas, and a Master of Music from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Bruce is married to Pastor Jo Anne Taylor, a minister at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm. They have two grown sons and like to garden, cook, and bake.

Of his appointment Taylor says, “I look forward to growing the Foundation’s support of the Hospital & Clinic and having a role in providing quality health care to Madelia and the surrounding community.”

The MCH Foundation will be awarding three academic scholarships this spring. (Watch for details about the scholarships in the coming weeks.) The following upcoming events are also planned:

May 5th – Annual Bike Helmet Day at Madelia Elementary School


June 8th – 12th Annual Madelia Community Hospital Foundation  Golf Outing

July 9th – Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic 5K and Kids Run

Bruce is looking forward to getting more acquainted with the people of Madelia, and hopes to see many of you at these upcoming events.
