Ten20 Tavern
The Ten20 Tavern isn’t just your average truck stop. According to General Manager Marti Bennett, the quality of the restaurant’s food sets it apart.
“Our scratch kitchen provides an elevated dining experience versus some of the quick service or chain restaurants,” Bennett said. “We have taken some of the best items from menus across the United States and made them our own. Being on the East side of town also provides convenient home-cooked meals for the Eagle Lake/Madison Lake families in our community as well.”
Bennett said the Ten20’s breakfast items, Kato Lager beer-battered onion rings and cheese curds are customer favorites.
“Business has been great and is growing in the right direction,” Bennett added. “We have something for everyone. We have been enjoyed by drivers, travelers, and locals alike.”
The Ten20 Tavern opened its doors on February 1, 2022. Located at the intersection of Adams Street and County Road 12 just south of Highway 14 in Mankato, this full-service restaurant and bar specializes in breakfast and dinner entrees. It also provides a wide variety of grab-n-go foods and take-and-make meals to go in the attached convenience store. Options range from cold wraps and sandwiches to freshly made burgers.
As part of the Mankato Travel Center, the Ten20 also provides weary travelers with a place to rest and entertain themselves.
“We also have space to host events of up to 100 people in our trucker’s lounge and player’s club areas,” Bennett said. “We have pull tabs, pool tables, dart boards, free shuffleboard, and a Full Swing Golf Simulator as added amenities.”
According to Bennett, the Ten20 fills a big need in the Mankato area.
“Mankato was in desperate need of a full-service truck stop and we wanted to be able to provide drivers, travelers, and locals a place to enjoy a homemade meal in a comfortable environment,” Bennett said.
In the future, the Ten20 will add a bar in its upstairs Player’s Club area and a second golf simulator. It plans to host a winter golf league later this year.
